School attendance

Joe was in charge of getting the kids to school. They were illegally late 22 times. 6.5 illegal absences.

Joe had them missing school to attend Great Wolf Lodge for the fourth time that year. He did not consult me. He planned the trip on my time with the kids and expected me to comply to the change at the very last minute. When I said no, he said “This will seriously ruin our evening.”

Joe would not let me talk to my kids the night before the first day of school. He wouldn’t let me talk to my daughter the morning of her first day of school. Again, he would not tell me why they weren’t in school, I would find out they were absent from the school.

Joe wouldn’t inform me when they were missing school, I would get the automatic notifications and try to figure out what was going on from there. In this example, he only provided me with information about the kids’ illnesses if I provided a password for him.

Joe kept the kids home sick as noted in this message thread. When I picked up the kids on this night, he had had them at the mall all afternoon. They were not sick.
